Vienna, Austria - April 13, 2026 - ToolSense, a Vienna-based company building the leading AI-powered facility management (FM) Operations Platform, today announces an investment from GRO Capital, a Northern European private equity firm focused on accelerating growth for software companies. The partnership will fuel ToolSense's international expansion, strengthen its commercial engine, and further advance its AI and robotics capabilities.

Founded in Vienna in 2017, ToolSense helps FM providers, dealers, and equipment manufacturers run smarter operations by connecting assets, workflows, and real-time data in one platform. Combining SaaS, IoT, AI, and deep robotics integrations, the platform replaces paper, Excel, and WhatsApp with automated, data-driven operations - reducing downtime, cutting costs, and improving performance across the entire FM value chain.

More than 200 customers across 30+ countries already rely on ToolSense as their operational backbone - including leading FM companies such as ISS, Dussmann, and Onet, as well as global OEMs like Tennant, Nilfisk, and i-team. The platform today spans asset and maintenance management, safety inspections, vehicle management, robotics management, and field service management - with further modules planned to digitize FM workflows end to end.

As IoT adoption accelerates, ToolSense is doubling down on AI to unlock the full value of asset and robotics data - predicting maintenance needs, optimizing resource allocation, and helping operators stay ahead of issues before they happen. Deeply embedded in daily workflows and tightly integrated with OEM and robotics ecosystems, ToolSense is emerging as the system of record for FM operations.

With GRO Capital's investment and hands-on partnership, ToolSense will accelerate its expansion across Europe and beyond, scale its go-to-market organization, and continue pushing the boundaries of what AI and IoT can deliver for facility management.

Alexander Manafi, CEO and Co-Founder of ToolSense, said

"We are clearly focused on the FM industry and continue to drive our vision of autonomously managed, self-optimizing building operations. Today, we already cover core processes around machines, fleet, robotics, and maintenance - and are clearly the world's leading platform in this space. Now we are consistently evolving from Asset Operations to holistic FM Operations. In the coming months, we will strategically expand our portfolio and introduce new modules to unlock the full potential of AI and IoT for our partners."

Christopher Ager, Partner at GRO Capital, said

“ToolSense sits right at the intersection of SaaS, IoT, robotics, and AI - unlocking significant efficiency gains for FM ecosystem participants with asset-intensive operations. This investment is a strong example of our 'unlocking resource efficiency' thematic in action, and we see a clear path to building a global category leader.”
