Amrax closes mid-seven-figure funding round

The Salzburg-based AI company for spatial intelligence will use the capital for growth and product expansion – from its flagship product Metaroom® for smartphone-based 3D capture of rooms and buildings to OEM solutions for industry partners in the kitchen, bathroom and electrical sectors. aws Gründungsfonds and SymbiaVC join as lead investors.

Management team of Amrax

Puch bei Hallein / Salzburg November 3rd, 2026 — Amrax, the Salzburg-based AI company for spatial intelligence, has closed a funding round in the mid-seven-figure euro range. The round is jointly led by aws Gründungsfonds and SymbiaVC, with participation from existing investor ArborEleven Ventures and several business angels. Amrax will use the capital to accelerate its growth and expand product development. The focus is on the further development of its flagship product Metaroom® for trade professionals, planners and enterprise customers, the expansion of sales and partnerships in the DACH region and internationally, as well as its growing OEM business with leading industrial companies.

Spatial intelligence: software that understands spaces

Amrax develops an AI-driven platform that captures physical spaces, understands them and turns them into planning-ready data. With Metaroom, a room can be captured with a smartphone within minutes and represented as a parametric 3D model together with a 2D floor plan. The platform combines LiDAR data with computer vision and AI models that automatically detect walls, doors, windows and openings and represent them as measurable objects. Amrax develops and trains these AI models in its own R&D unit – based on a continuously growing data set of real-world rooms and buildings. The parametric 3D models can be exported in more than 40 formats and used directly in common planning tools – including Autodesk and Nemetschek products (Bluebeam, Graphisoft Archicad and DDScad) as well as Siemens Building X.

Metaroom is used by trade businesses, planning offices, architects, energy consultants and facility managers in more than 175 countries. In June 2026, Amrax introduced “Enterprise Building Capture” for capturing entire building complexes – tested on a 60,000-square-metre hospital in Germany that was fully digitised with iPhone Pro devices while remaining in operation. In addition to its own platform, Amrax develops tailored OEM applications based on its technology for leading industrial companies. These partners integrate Amrax’s spatial capture directly into their own planning and sales processes – from on-site measurement at the customer’s premises to the finished plan. The particular value for industry partners lies in Amrax’s proprietary AI models: because they are continuously trained with new data, they deliver ever more precise results – an advantage that flows directly into the partners’ solutions. Several projects are currently being implemented. Further details will be announced at a later date together with the companies involved.

Two additional regional partners with a long-term commitment

Alongside existing investor ArborEleven Ventures, Amrax has now brought on two additional investors that are also rooted in Austria: the aws Gründungsfonds and SymbiaVC. The two have already co-invested in several Austrian technology companies. aws Gründungsfonds supports start-ups from their first growth phase through to exit; SymbiaVC, based in Tyrol, contributes not only capital but above all industrial expertise and a strong industry network. ArborEleven Ventures completes the trio of investors, alongside several business angels, bringing deep expertise in extended reality (XR), digital twins and reality capture.

“We are delighted to have two such strong and regional partners on board with aws Gründungsfonds and SymbiaVC. Both share our ambition to build value consistently and sustainably – as one of the most innovative AI companies for spatial intelligence globally. The capital will go into our growth and the expansion of our products: into Metaroom and into the OEM solutions that bring spatial capture directly into the processes of major industry partners.”

— Martin Huber, CEO and Co-Founder of Amrax

“Amrax has shown that highly precise 3D building data can be captured with a smartphone – and that a scalable software and OEM business can be built on it. We were convinced by the technological depth, the international traction and, above all, the founding team. We look forward to supporting Amrax in its next stages of growth.”

— Markus Jandrinitsch, Managing Director, aws Gründungsfonds

“Spatial intelligence is becoming a key to the digitalisation of construction, the trades and industry. Amrax combines excellent technology with a clear business model and strong industry partners – a perfect fit with our focus. We look forward to accompanying the team as a partner on its growth path.”

— Alex Burger, Senior Investment Manager (Principal), SymbiaVC

“Amrax combines an outstanding team, unique expertise and a clear vision. That convinced us from the very beginning and led to our early investment. The extensive dataset Amrax uses to train its AI models creates a strong foundation for the next phase of growth. We are delighted that further partners now share this vision and will drive the company’s development forward together with us.”

— Maximilian Baro, CEO, ArborEleven Ventures
